Each week-long camp session is designed to teach the essential skills of baseball while having fun!  Camp will focus on the major fundamentals of the game: hitting, throwing, fielding, catching and baserunning. Campers will run through various stations focusing on specific drills and fundamentals of the game. Each day will also consist of scrimmage games to let players compete and utilize skills learned from camp. Campers and families will enjoy an award ceremony on Friday afternoon as players compete during the week for camp awards. Camp offers a 10:1 camper to coach ratio which ensures players get proper instruction throughout the week.

Campers should bring their own lunch and water. The NYO baseball camp will be led by Dan Giordano, ATL Lightning program director and 13U coach. Coach Gio has been coaching in the Atlanta area for over 20 years, including 16 seasons as the head baseball coach at Oglethorpe University in Brookhaven.  He is the winningest baseball coach in modern school history, and has coached 75 All Conference athletes, 8 All Region players, 2 All Americans and an MLB draft pick. His teams were known for their offensive fire power, leading the conference in home runs for 5 consecutive seasons and leading the country in home runs in 2017. He has been honored by the Southern Athletic Association as Coach of the year, Georgia Dugout Club Division 3 Coach of the Year, and the Atlanta Braves 400 Club Coach of the Year. Coach Gio has been running top rated summer baseball camps in the Atlanta area for 15+ years. The AJC has ranked his camp as one the top 5 best baseball camps in Atlanta. Coach Giordano will be assisted by current ATL coaches, as well as current high school and college players from the community.

ATL Bucks Summer Basketball Camp

The ATL Bucks are excited to announce our Summer Basketball Camp for boys and girls in 1st–7th grade. This week is designed to build fundamental skills, confidence, and a competitive edge in a fun, structured environment.

Dates: May 26–29

Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Location: Sutton 6th Grade Campus

4360 Powers Ferry Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30327

Each day includes skill stations, drills, and live gameplay focused on:

    •    Ball handling 

   •    Shooting   

 •    Passing    

•    Defense

    •    Footwork

    •    Game situations and basketball IQ

Daily scrimmages allow players to apply what they learn. We maintain a low coach-to-player ratio to ensure quality instruction and individual attention. Players will be separated into age- and skill-appropriate groups to ensure a positive experience for each athlete.

Led by Riley Van Patten, Director of Player Development and former collegiate player, alongside experienced coaches and current high school and college athletes, including many familiar faces from the Bucks program.

    •    Friday awards to recognize effort and improvement

Ages: Rising 1st - 7th Grade

Where: Fanning Field (Turf Field at NYO) Camp Directors: Rob Harris - ATL Red Devils Program Director and various ATL Red Devil Coaches  Our summer camp is for boys and girls! We encourage  all sizes, skill levels, and ages to participate. It is the perfect way to polish skills for the upcoming football season and also to get out and have some fun with friends before school starts back. If you are a first time football player, this camp is a great opportunity to learn fundamentals of tackling, blocking, catching, handling the football, and defense. If you have played before, this is a perfect chance to polish skills and take your game to the next level! Most importantly, this camp is a fun, safe, and encouraging environment to learn from coaches who have played on the high school and college level.  This year we are adding girls flag! Our NYO Softball Summer Camp is designed for all NYO Softball players. Throughout our week-long camps, we will cover various softball skills such as fielding, hitting, baserunning, catching, pitching basics, softball IQ, communication on the field and everyone's favorite...team competitions. Campers will be able to enhance their softball abilities, build friendships, and enjoy a fun summer camp. Take advantage of this chance to learn from committed and skilled coaches!

Campers will be divided into groups based on their age and skill level. Each day will include fundamental drills for offense and defense, as well as scrimmage games and live situations. In addition to on-field activities, there will be off-field games like wiffle ball, dodgeball, and water balloon games. Coach Kayla, the Camp Director, will lead the summer camps with the help of 4 ATL Patriots Professional Coaches and other experienced junior softball instructors. The schedule for the week is outlined below, and we are eagerly looking forward to welcoming the girls to the camp!
