Campers will learn technical cheerleading and competition-style choreography skills taught by Lori Lee Mendieta and renowned collegiate cheerleaders. Camp is a skill focused environment targeting the fundamental and intermediate skill sets. Campers will leave with a sound understanding of competitive cheerleading, the fundamental technical skills to build upon, and the elements to the competitive choreography style. Daily choreography will be taught to all campers grouped by age and ability level. This is a weeklong camp adventure that will certainly pull the performer out of each attendee. But above all else, campers will have fun in a safe environment.

- Warm-up emphasizing proper technique and flexibility drills
- Motion Technique - Daily Motion Drills/Choreography
- Fundamental & Intermediate Stunt Classes
- Stunt Transitions Session
- Jump Technique/ Jump Sequence
- Stunt Position Class (Flyer, Base, Back Spot Class)
- Dance Choreography
- Breakout Education Classes Each Day
PARENT SHOWCASE FRIDAY 2:00 pm
Parents, friends, and family are invited to preview the skills, choreographed skill sections, and dance choreography from the camp. Campers will be dismissed immediately after the parent showcase.
CAMP DIRECTOR
Lori Lee Mendieta will be the camp director for the 2022 NYO Cheer Camps. Lori Lee has 28 years of industry experience. She cheered for the national championship University of Kentucky Cheerleading and Dance Teams, then transitioned professionally to NBA's Atlanta Hawks Dance Team. While in Atlanta, she coached at Georgia Tech. She is a choreographer to the world's cheer elite and travels across the US and abroad working with young athletes who work towards their Olympic cheer dreams. This past year, Lori Lee led two national teams to a silver and bronze medal at the 2021 ICU World Cheerleading Championships. Her industrial choreography is attributed to Apple, Cola-Cola, KFC, the Orange, Sugar, Liberty, and Citrus halftime shows, and much more.
