For over 50 years, NYO baseball has been a staple in the North Atlanta community. America’s pastime is our pastime. Located in the heart of Chastain Park, Northside Youth Organization’s facilities are second to none featuring nine fields, twelve batting cages, and six pavilions located on our main campus and five additional game fields in the neighborhood. Today, our program serves nearly 1,500 players from ages four to fourteen separated into ten leagues.

Small Ball: Age 4

Shetland Blue: Age 5

Shetland Red: Age 6

Rookie: Age 7

A: Age 8

AA: Age 9

International, Majors and Bronco Leagues: Ages 10-12

Chastain Local League: Ages 13 & 14

Once we move past our initial open registration period, most of our leagues will have a wait list (see each league below). If you are interested in playing with us and you age group is on a wait list, be certain to sign up for that league as soon as possible to register for the wait list. We add players all the way up to late January as room opens up and we are able to clear many players off the wait list. You will not pay until we clear you so there is no financial obligation to get on our wait list. If your child is accepted off the wait list, you will have 48 hours to provide payment in order to secure your spot in the league. We will update your status via email. It is not necessary to call the NYO office but you can always email us at [email protected] to check on your status.

The softball program has been an integral part of Northside Youth Organization for over 40 years. What began as a slow pitch program in the early 1970’s, NYO Fastpitch was launched in 1992. Today, the NYO Fastpitch program boasts over 500 players ranging from ages 5 to 18. Centrally located in the heart of Chastain Park, our program has five dedicated fastpitch fields, turf batting cages with pitching machines, and six pavilions for family fun and team camaraderie. Our goal is to provide the best opportunity for players at all levels to enjoy the game of fastpitch softball through non-stop encouragement, instructive guidance, and positive role models.

Kit Kat: Ages 5 & 6

Rookie: Ages 7 & 8

Minors: Ages 9 & 10

Majors: Ages 11-13

Seniors: Ages 14-18

Join the ATL coaching staff for our very popular ATL/NYO Clinics hosted at NYO!

Clinics cover fundamental skills in hitting, fielding, throwing and more in a fun, fast pace environment for all ages and skill levels.

Players are required to bring their own baseball gear, including a glove, bat, helmet, and appropriate footwear (turfs or molded cleats).

UGA college softball standout Jaiden Fields and our Player Development Staff will guide players through a structured 2.5-hour training session covering the key areas of the game. Players will receive focused instruction in hitting, fielding, and movement work designed to support well-rounded development.

We will also integrate performance technology, including Rapsodo and Blast Motion, to provide real-time feedback, measurable data, and clearer insight into player progress.

For over 40 years, our boys’ basketball program has been an integral part of the NYO experience during the winter months. Our program in Chastain Park is considered the best recreational basketball program in the city, and boasts nearly 750 players over eight, grade based leagues. With a focus on TEAM basketball and skill development, the leagues are structured so that teams are balanced, and players receive substantial playing time in a competitive and organized learning environment. In addition to our gymnasium at the park, our teams practice and play games in several other local gyms in the neighborhood.
