NYO Football Opening Day / Character Development

What:               NYO Football Character Development Event

Date:                Sunday, September 12, 2021

Time:               5:00pm – 6:00pm

Where:            Blackwell Field

We hope you and your family will join us on Sunday, September 12th to hear John Staton and Brady Tindall tell why playing football is so important to them and to share a few of the many life lessons they have learned from the sport.

John and Brady were both all-star players at NYO and later went on to play for The Lovett School.  Both were all-state performers, John at linebacker and Brady at quarterback.  John began his college career at Samford and Brady began his college career at Mercer.  Subsequently, they have both transferred to UGA to play for the Dawgs.  Both have high hopes for a championship season.

A goal of NYO Football is to help our players learn character lessons from the great game of football that can be of value to them throughout their lives.  Examples of these lessons would be the rewards of learning how to give maximum effort, how to be a good teammate, how to address adversity, and how to play with sportsmanship.  While most of this instruction is provided by coaches at the team level, NYO supplements this communication with outside speakers such as John and Brady.

We encourage you and your family to join us to hear John and Brady on Sept. 12th for our Character Development Event.
